Age Fighters
Anti ageing what can you do to slow it down
Anti-ageing is a relatively new science and can be traced back to 1993 when two prominent doctors defined the meaning and changed the course of preventive medicine forever.
Anti-ageing supplements, anti-ageing medicine, anti- ageing cosmetic treatments are all part of the misconception that their sole purpose is to prolong the life of baby boomers.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Anti- ageing science is concerned with giving us all a better chance to extend the middle section of our age span, eating better and taking the right supplements using modern technology to create real products that can deliver on the anti-ageing promise.
There are two types of aging processes: skin that has aged due to either intrinsic or extrinsic causes.
Intrinsic aging, also known as the natural aging process, is a continuous process that normally begins in our mid-20s. Intrinsic aging is predetermined by heredity, which obviously can't be changed but can still be effectively managed to minimize the signs of age.
Extrinsic aging, also known as “photo-aging’, unlike the unavoidable intrinsic, is the result of external factors from the environment such as smoking or overexposure to the sun or harmful chemicals.
Extrinsic aging or Photo-aging is mainly caused by the UVA and UVB rays in sunlight and causes the most visible & premature aging signs.
Caring for aging skin
The good doctors agree in unison that the anti-ageing battle starts with sun protection.
Photo aging can be minimised with good sun protection and recent studies reveal that Vitamin C can prevent and repair sun damaged to skin. Vitamin C does not absorb UV rays and provides sun protection via a totally different mechanism than sun screens. Vitamin C has an excellent anti-inflammatory effect, keeps cells from being damaged by oxygen free radicals and help collagen synthesis. STOP SMUDGING YOUR BODY WITH PETROLEUM PRODUCTS.
Rejuvi “xCell Vitamin C complex” in conjunction with Rejuvi Sun Protection will give you the natural protection you need.
Dietary changes for aging skin
Proper diet and plenty of water is very important to keep younger looking skin longer. Free radicals derived from sunlight and pollution is very damaging to skin. Food containing plenty of antioxidants is essential to neutralise free radicals. Food containing omega3 fatty acid help prevent wrinkles.
